I cannot manage to hear any of you guys. I am on dial-up and it never seems to work for me. Too bad.
I cannot play any Yngwie songs. I used to try when I was a kid, but I have no interest in spending hour on end trying to play a song that I will probably never even come close to playing. A few licks here and there or arpeggios, but that's it.

The only tip I can give is listen to the song you're learning so many times that you know it perfectly in your head note for note. Then you can play it slowly and build up the speed, instead of trying to play it full speed straight away along with the recording.

Yargh, we be pirates here, matey, yargh isnt the Interlude in AASB fantastic, one of the first things i learnt of Yngwie's. still not perfect, but its enjoyable to play and a great thing to practice with a metronome as its fast moving, mostly semiquavers and introduces triplets into things.

queen........
wheres the boom boom in your Flute Quintet? you have to have those heart wrenching appoggiatura's, timpani blasts, dramatic pauses.. thats totally 'me' though, not you..
it was v. enjoyable to listen to, especially knowing it was performed and wasnt a crappy sibelius (makes fog horn sound).
good job!
Ill write you what sort of stuff i mean when i get back, im staying out for 2 nights, i cant stand getting to work, and nan lives pretty close, so that extra hours sleep is a yngwie-send.
ciao.
