the song last for 5:31 ... and you learnt it in 6:00?? and you must have listened to it while learning it to know how it goes, and you sorted out and memorised bar after bar in 30 seconds.. an erm, the HotShot comment, directed at me?? (hmmm).. when i would think it would take a long time to learn, and you say 6 mins, and you call me Mr HotShot.. ......... *laughs* record it and upload it then

record it and upload it then that would be cool, if you could record a different one every day that you just learnt lol I think that 6 minutes was a bit of an exaggeration, unless you happen to have a memory like Mozart and can play the whole thing through perfectly after only hearing it once. Maybe it took you 6 mins to generally get there and another 20 to perfect it -- that sounds much more reasonable to me.

He is obviously a big Yngwie fan and probably knew the song in head pretty well already. After listening to Yngwie for 15 -20 years (I'm definitely not a theory master, things take me a while to absorb LOL), and learning a lot of his songs,I can pretty much visualize in my head what he's playing just by hearing it. So a song like that may only take a few shots to actually learn. I don't have it here in work, but if I remember correctly it's a pretty straightforward song.

Yes, it was very easy...its just the basic chords and some blusesolo, the blues i improvised a bit. When i love a song, im eager to learn it fast so i can enjoy sing and play it along faster.
the ending goes on as a solo so i only listened to the main parts while learning it...pretty easy if your not tonedeaf.
I dont have anything to record my playing on, or else i would have, not onlt that song , but Far beyond, Black Star and Deja vu to.

If you improvised some of it, and you didn't include all the times you listened to it before, 6 mins sounds reasonable.

Having not heard the original, I don't know how close it is to that, but it sounds good. Maybe the guitar could be a little louder though.

Highway Star is my favourite Deep Purple song Watch the timing -- sometimes you get a bit ahead of yourself. But apart from that, nice.
