I try to whrite my own songs, ive done some riffs here and there, nothing complete. The thing is im not as motivated of writing own songs because i have no band. Then it seems meaningless, i dont know, im pretty confused .Ye, its pretty boring learning new songs..you just wanna know them right away so ..the fun can begin . I can also play Baroque n Roll to from start to end pretty well. That song makes med very exhausted. My lefthand feels like its burning up after the whole song..its crazy. On Valhalla? There is more than one arpeggio going on after the pedalnotes. Ill try to explain later (my guitar is in the guitarcase now). I make setlists as Yngwie does live, and play the songs accordingly, thats why ive learned so many Yngwie-songs.

That's a good idea!! The setlist... I have to try that, maybe I would learn more Yngwie songs.
Thanks for the idea!!

You dont have to learn any Yngwie-songs, its better to make your own songs.

I love to play Far Beyond The Sun, Krakatoa, and Trilogy Suite. I always had a hard time with Yngwie's solo's because I have a hard time thinking about music theory while I'm playing that fast but I can do them pretty close and I'm getting better at it. The mistakes in the tab for these songs in the tab books kind of get on my nerves. I have even thought about writing to the company that does Recorded Versions to have them corrected, but they probably wouldn't care LOL!

I find that the Wolf Marshall ones are the worst. I have refused to use tabs for that very reason for the last 5 or 6 years, I find that if I figure it out on my own that I a-get a more accurate transcription and b- find and wasier way to do certain things i. e. in Trilogy Suite the book says that on the main arppegio riff to use three strings(g b e) and I started doing it on 2(b e) then I found out by watching Yngwie that he does it on two strings as well.

A little bit off of the subject, but I have heard Yngwie play part of this. I think it was on a bootleg of an instore appearance. I'm currently tabbing out the live version of Mediterranean Sundance performed by Al Dimeola and John McLaughlin. It's a lot of fun but it's a beast of a song. The solos go on forever! It's too bad that Yngwie and Dimeola weren't able to work a tour out together. That would be up there with G3 in my book.

Same here, except I didn't realize that part in Trilogy Suite was wrong until I saw Yngwie play it live. Evil Eye I was able to figure out on my own though. It actually gave me some insight into his style by figuring these things out. I have to give kudos to anyone who can tab an Yngwie solo though. Even if they are slowing it down to figure it out. What part in Trilogy suite are you guys talking about?
The...
consistant pattern descending till 11th on A..
or the Arpeggios on : Am, B°, G#°.. etc etc.
or the pedal note G part?

The arppegios that are the second part of the main theme.

Yngwie has played that on 2 strings and 3 strings. I suppose that's the problem with tab -- it's not always going to be the best fingering but hopefully it should be the right notes. I don't bother with tab because I play violin and translating a guitar tab is just a waste of effort. I can pick up most stuff by ear, unless it's really fast and a bit of a random pattern.

The arppegios that are the second part of the main theme. That's the first thing I ever played on my violin ;D

I think the first thing i ever played on guitar was the Rising Force solo. It was just after i first seen Yngwie and my brother had the Odyssey TAB book, i remember playing a note then counting up the fret board to the next note, then counting again and again and again. It must of took a good 10 to 15 mins to play the whole solo and i was well proud that i could do my heros guitar solo. Now 9.5 years of guitar playing later i can manage it in at least 4 or 5 mins

The arpeggios on the trilogi song can also be played with 3-sting arpeggios, just not consistant down up, down up. But with different variations. listen to Yngwies LIVE!! and his verion of the song there, then youll understand.
