I dont know if I would like having the pickups full on. The neck especially sounds muddy with it turned to 10 and the bridge loses its balls.

Its all in your fingers...if you wanna sound like Yngwie, its not about what amp or guitar you use...its whats in your mind and fingers...think about that.

^^ that's true if you just want to sound like Yngwie, but if you want to sound like Yngwie when he's using a particular guitar, amp, effect, whatever, you'd better use exactly what he uses or you won't get the sound you want. I know this is stating the obvious, but that's the whole point in this section -- to discuss equipment.

Don't forget the ear -- that's essential.

The ear, you have to be able to hear with that musical ear in order to deliver the same feeling to your music as he does.

Ear is the most important stuff. I see teens buy full of effects at the guitarstore without knowing how to play guitar even. I have bought a Behringer amp module (the blue cheap one), but i only use it for when i tryout for a band or when playing live. I only use my Fender Amp (Yngwie has exactly the same at home). It got great distortion.

I am glad tho that it is once again cool to know how to play guitar well. My daughters friends like to just sit and listen when I play with their mouths open. Its a good feeling, since when I was in high school Nirvana and Pearljam were popular so people would just look at you weird if you did anything cool on the guitar.

I get pretty close the Yngwie tone with my Yng sig strat, Behringer V-amp Pro, DOD YJM308, and my Marshall MG50DFX. Of course there is some other stuff too, like the NS-2, FCB 1010, Behringer V-Verb Pro.......
