I like Joe. Scouserocker, I know what you mean -- Yngwie has said in the past that he doesn't like people who so blatantly copy his style. But I don't see any harm in Joe doing this, after all he does acknowledge the Malm as his biggest influence along with Ritchie Blackmore.

Ive only heard his instrumental stuff and to be honest he's someone who's music I want to explore further. Your right in what you say about Yngwies attitude towards copyists as in the late eighties the market was flooded with Yngwie clones. At the time Yngwies major gripe was that these people didnt acknowledge him as an influence and claimed to have played this way since they were 3 yrs old (slight exageration but you get my point!), citing the original composers Yngwie made reference to. From the interviews Ive read with Joe Stump he appears to be very respectful of Yngwie and openly admits he was a major influence.

lol He does like to copy the Maestro. It's like Yngwie, when he was young, copying exactly everything that Ritchie Blackmore did, except that Yngwie grew out of this and developed his own style!

I was on Limewire earlier today and downloaded some Joe Stump songs including stuff with Michael Vescara on vocals. It sounded great and i'll be looking to buy the albums asap.

I dont have anything against people like Joe, because they admit they got it from Malmsteen. once they start deny it, then i have noo respect for them. I act like Yngwie to when i play live, its so much more fun than to just stand there like a tree.
As for the picture...well Joes pants aint as cool as Yngwies. And his gitar aint a Fender, its a ESP, as he maybe doesnt have the energy to play on a good old FENDER..hehe
