I had an idea to use modern 3D animation software to make a virtual Yngwie, so he can live forever. Unfortunately, the programs available today are not very user friendly and the best program for modeling heads doesn't have bodies included. So right now all I have completed is the head. It's pretty cool though. I'll get a full body version made eventually.
The head is not an exact duplicate of Yngwie's head but sort of an idealized version. I gave him light blue eyes and reddened the area around the eyes to make him look sort of vampire-like. Normal humans look pretty boring. This is how Yngwie would look now if he had been bitten by a vampire in 1984. It's a "what if" alternate reality version of Yngwie.
It seems Ygwie had a stopover in Romania on a trip from Sweden to Bulgaria, just before going to America in 1984. The plane had to set down at a small obscure airfield near a mysterious castle due to bad weather, shown in the image below. He was seen talking to a pale complexioned raven haired lady at the airport canteen over Bloody Marys. Later he looked disheveled and was favoring his neck, which had a mysterious black bandaid on one side. Never was quite the same after that. Shortly thereafter, he discovered that he could play the guitar like a demon, whereas previously he was so bad that nobody in Sweden paid any attention to him at all. That's the back story.
Took a long time to make a face that I was happy with but this one is pretty much the ultimate 21 year old metal guitar-vam, 21 forever! That's the title for the proposed first album from Vortek, which is what the vam Yngwie changed his name to after getting turned, to avoid embarrassment to his former family. Someone in a guitar magazine commented that his eyes were like vortexes pulling at their souls and he altered it to Vortek for a unique name.
Anyway, with this model I can make animations of a band performing, like in the game Rock Band but with better graphics.
