the tab i have says its in F# it starts on the 4th fret D string, which is F#... (light bulb).. Which on Yngwie's guitar is an F.. when it sounds better as F# minor. If it is an F# wont it be a G on Yngwie's guitar since he tunes down?

G is a semitone higher than F#
normal guitar F#, tune down a semitone, you get to F.
your thinking reverse, and that used to kill my brain.

I think we're getting confused about what is the note sound and what the note should be called when we read it. I totally understand, which is why I always call a note by how it sounds. And the first note of FBTS sounds as an F. When reading tab, just call it by the string and fret number, so as not to be confusing (and say if the tab is a tuned down Yngwie version).
