Has anyone seen the January 2006 issue of Guitar One with Yngwie and Buckethead on the cover. There are a few cool Yngwie licks in it which he transcribed and played (it's on the CD included with the mag.) One of the licks is from his concerto. He calls it a Vivaldi inspired lick but it is pretty much exactly the same as what he played on the Concerto suite. I don't have the tab book for this because I have been meaning to spend a few days trying to figure it out for myself to see how well I do. I haven't gotten around to it yet is what I tell myself but maybe I'm just a little intimidated ;D. There's a lot of other stuff in this issue too that people would probably be interested in. Buckethead also names Yngwie as an influence, which is nice to hear someone admit .

There's some scans of this issue here: www.yngwie.org/News.htmCan't find a real copy though. Am I right in thinking Guitar One is a US only mag?

I think so, I am just glad he has gotten so much exposure in the mags this year.

I don't know about that, but I know you can order it from the site. I know you're a violin player Anne, not a guitar player, but it is probably worth getting. If only for the picture of Yngiwe standing next to a guy with an upside dosn KFC funeral bucket on his head. There's a short interview with Jason Becker also. Apparently he did it by letterboard because he can't write or speak anymore. Really sad, but amazingly he still has a good attitude and is willing to do interviews. I know some people on this site like Joe Stump; he's in there also I think.
