I voted for Boals, though it's really a tie for me between Boals and Soto.

I voted for Jeff Scott Soto based on his overall vocal range. However, I love Mark Boals vocals on "Trilogy" and prefer Mark before Jeff on that album but, Mark didn´t sound as good as in his early days when he re-joined Yngwies band in the late nineties. Joe Lynn sounds GREAT on Odyssey but, his voice wouldn´t fit Alchemy for instance so, I don´t think his voice are "wide" enough.
However, the best vocalist Yngwie ever worked with was undoubtly JÖRN LANDE so, it´s very sad that they didn´t record an album with Jörns vocals. However, Yngwie is well-known for his ego and so is Jörn Lande so, their egos didn´t match very well and ended up in disaster. I have a few descent bootlegs thou;).

queenofahred: Imagine a mix of David Coverdale and a slight spice of Ronnie James Dio....there you have Jorn Lande. He is considered being one of the best vocalists of today!. Other bands he´s been involved in or are involved in are: Millenium, Masterplan, ARK, Beyond Twilight, Vagabond etc etc.
When he sang in Yngwies band he sounded like a angry David Coverdale and his voice was 1 with the music.

I had two tickets to the show scheduled for here in Kansas City, but it fell a week after the "incident" and was cancelled. Oh well, C'est la vie.

Tough decision, but John Scott Soto. Such a manly voice!
