Instrumental - Icarus Dream Suite Op 4 - The most beautiful emotional guitar playing! Vocal - Disciples of Hell - The heaviest riff on the planet!

sorry to rant on, but i havent been able to get a few bars out of my head for about a week now..
End of Vivace in Concerto Suite, dominant 7th chords pounding which yngwie plays a fantastic ostinato and the staccatoo (orgasm).

Icarus' Dream Suite is a really inspiring, emotional, beautiful masterpiece, but it all comes down to Far Beyond the Sun, IMO. Basically all the instrumentals I enjoy the most, like how AJLeadGuitar said.
After that.... my faves are Rising Force, Krakatau, Trilogy Suite Op. 5, and Disciples of Hell, for starters.

Icarus' Dream Suite is like adagio, yngwie isn't author of adagio, bot he added cool stuff

Who wrote "Adagio"?
So basically Icarus Dream Suite is a partial composition from Yngwie and classical composers that contains "adagio" in it?

Tomaso Albinoni
Quote from classical.net:
"In 1945, Remo Giazotto, a Milanese musicologist traveled to Dresden to complete his biography of Tomaso Albinoni and his listing of Albinoni's music. Among the ruins, he discovered a fragment of manuscript. Only the bass line and six bars of melody had survived, possibly from the slow movement of a Trio Sonata or Sonata da Chiesa. It was from this fragment that Giazotto reconstructed the now-famous Adagio, a piece which is instantly associated with Albinoni today, yet which ironically Albinoni would doubtless hardly recognize."

Is that really true? I find it hard to believe -- Adagio is the most well-known of all Albinoni's music (although I bet 90% of people who recognise it have never heard of Albinoni since this tune has been hijacked by so many classical guitarists doing their own version). I'll consult with my Grandmama on the matter -- she talks about the Italian Baroque composers as if they were her closest friends, so she's bound to know Icarus' Dream Suite is mostly Yngwie's own composition. It's only the first theme that comes from the Adagio. *lost in waves of polyphonic heaven* ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mine would have to be KRAKATAU. I love the tense, fast paced intro, the massive mood swing with the acoustic strumming, then the ground shaking doomladen riff that comes after that. And to top it all off he hits that amazing "squeal" note in one of the breaks and it melts your ears !
Sheer brilliance from the man !
