Nightwish - Everdream My wife just bought me an MP3 player for our anniversary, I'm psyched !!! It's a 1 gig Zen Nano Plus. I have a 45- 50 minute commute back and forth to work so I'll definitely be using it a lot. Lots of Yngwie for sure .

Savatage - When The Crowds Are Gone Does anyone here like Savatage? Another one of my favorite bands! You gotta like anyone who body slammed Dave Mustaine. I'm a big Savatage fan as well, I'm also into their little side-project as well, Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Some of the multi-layered choruses they've come up with (especially on "Wake of Magellan") are simply awesome. Nice call on the Nightwish too, Tarja Turunen ranks quite highly on my "impure thoughts" list. Savatage~ Blackjack Guillotine from Wake of Magellan

Savatage~ Blackjack Guillotine from Wake of Magellan I went down to Tampa and saw the Criss Oliva memorial show a few years ago. We went to his gravesite with a bubch of people the next morning. It was kind of sad but an awesome time. The original Savatage played with Cafferey subbing for Criss and they were great. Jon did a solo act too. Yesterday I ordered tickets for this years TSO show in December. Symphony X - Inferno

We've seen them the last 4 tours at christmas. I met Alex Skolnik at his jazz show in Cambridge, he's a really good guy. Too bad you live so far away. Whats a Sabre? A car?

A Sabre is a Strat shaped electric violin made by Mark Wood. See www.woodviolins.comMine's a custom 6 string fretless Sabre with barbera pickups and silver sparkle finish and Mark started making it 14 days ago! So I'm hoping that he'll have it finished before he goes on tour. I should get some pics of the progress in a couple of weeks and then I'll be able to see my new Sabre! ;D

Bling is really obvious gold (or fake gold) jewellery worn by people who like to show off that they have a lot of money or give the impression that they do.

I checked out Woodviolins website. The viper cello look awesome too!!! I'd love to hear that in your band. Electric violin, guitar, cello and bass. It could work . Wes Montgomery - Full House

The Sabre is the coolest violin that I have ever seen! Might even get one myself (No, I can't play violin, but it looks so cool, that I would want to learn. ;D) What does a Sabre cost?

My Sabre costs US$2600. It depends on how many strings you want, what pickups, and the type of finish. I'm getting mine custom made to look exactly like the violin I played in a dream. When I woke up, I searched the net to see if there were really any electric violins that looked like this and the only one I found was the Sabre. All other violin designs I saw are either impractical shapes (cutaway on the wrong side etc.), too heavy, too minimalistic, or they've lost that curved aesthetic of the sexy violin shape. Plus I know that the Wood violins sound good and the strings are the right distance and cuvature apart, because it was designed by a violinist and I've seen demonstrations of Mark playing some string crossings that I've found impossible to do on some other types of electric violin that have more than 4 strings.
