lol I don't think the instrument matters. They just happened to need a violinist, they just happened to recognise me as a violinist, and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get a couple of well paid gigs. It looks like I've got back my lucky winning streak -- everything's just getting better and better after being so shite the last 3 years or so. I just hope this continues ;D ;D ;D

Fiddlers Elbow - Athole Highlanders lol I wouldn't normally be listening to this, except I've got myself a couple of gigs with them next weekend and I need to learn the set list. It's worth £245 (which is not bad when they just stopped me in the street and asked me if I could fill in for their usual violinist)! ;D ;D thats awsome

Yngwie of course. Locked and Loaded! From Unleash the Fury (I like the "Judas Priestly sounding chorus). I also really like Track 18 (Bach variation) I seen Yngwie and joakim (by the way, how do you pronounce Joakim? and what ethnic origin is that?) Play Paraphrase last year on the Attack tour twice (Harrisburg Pa, then the following week at Allentown PA)

I would assume that the "j" in Joakim is pronounced like a "y". Paraphrase is based on the 1st movement of Bach's Concerto for violin in A minor. That's one of my favourite violin concertos that I've been playing for years. The pedal figures in that one always reminded me of Yngwie, then I had a dream that Yngwie was playing it at a gig and I was there, then I heard Paraphrase on UTF about 6 months later, and he played it when I saw him live this year! It's crazy the way that my Yngwie dreams come true, or other coincidences happen involving Yngwie.
I'm listening to Let the Good Times Roll

POWERHOUSE (Demo).
Powerhouse was one of Yngwies first bands and this bootleg CD is recorded back in 1977. It´s quite rare if I may say so;)
